The Australian Financial Review Magazine

Our very own Creative Director Matt Lorrain features in this month's Design issue of The Australian Financial Review Magazine.

“Australian furniture brand SP01 has won global attention in an impressively short time. Decking out Apple’s offices in New York with thousands of its Caristo chairs is the most recent example. The brand also helped furnish Ernst & Young’s offices in Stockholm and the Mandarin Oriental Hong Kong.”

As we celebrate 5 years, the interview written by AFR writer Dan Stapleton takes a look at how SP01 has come of age, capturing the attention of designers, architects and media around the world.

Also, don’t miss the AFR Design issue's feature article on designer Hayden Cox for first news on our upcoming collaboration. Owner of cult surfboard brand Hayden Shapes, Cox is widely attributed with re-inventing the way surfboards are made and his Krypto model is assumed to be the best selling board of the last 15 years.

Having worked with luxury brands and artists including IWC Schaffhausen, Daniel Arsham, Apple, Mr Porter and Australia’s Dion Lee, we are looking forward to releasing Hayden’s first furniture collection. While details are still under wraps, we can reveal it will be a limited-edition collection of smaller pieces working with a newly developed form of resin. Stay tuned for more details and the series launch date.
